History

B&B Palazzo Bruchi is located in a XVII building “PALAZZO LANDI-BRUCHI”, in the heart of Siena, inside the ancient Leocorno district and only 200 metres from the famous Piazza del Campo square. The via Pantaneto is a very nice and central one, with restaurants, pubs, groceries, laundrymat and little characteristic shops where it is available every kind of item. This family-run resort is run by Camilla, the last descendat of the ancient Landi- Bruchi family.

The bedrooms, some of them with fresco ceiling, are nicely furnished in an old-fashion way, all with private bathrooms. All the room are peaceful, quit and bright. The Superior suite has a breathtaking view on the garden, the verdant Val di Follonica and the ancient citywalls.

Twice a year (2nd of July and 16th August) the Palio race is run in the famous square Piazza del Campo and people from all over the world come to enjoy this attraction. All along the year also other cultural events are organized in Siena, ranging from theatre shows to jazz concerts and classical music performances.

Moreover, the nearby countryside is perfect for hiking, biking and horse riding, whereas the town centre is good for shopping, visiting museums and sightseing. Situated in the heart of Tuscany this resort is just few miles from the Chianti countryside and from a number of important artistic places such as Pienza, Monteriggioni, Montalcino, S. Gimignano, Perugia and Florence ( all of them easily reachable by car or by bus).

Furthermore, by car you can also reach hot-springs and plan wine tours and food tasting. In fact, Siena has a big culture for wine and food, indeed also the honour to represent the italian wine hosting the famous “Enoteca Italiana” site.

The atmosphere of this family-run resort is extremely warm and relaxing and the environment is friendly and informal, undoubtly far from the standard “hotel” style. Booking in advance is better especially if you wish to choose the Superior room.
